I am a freelance photographer based in Melbourne.

Mostly I am excited by how much I continue to learn from every shoot, especially working with new subjects and collaborating with brilliantly creative people. I have discovered I love the teaching I do, currently short courses, particularly the moments when I see students ‘get it’. It took me forever to understand why on earth you would bother taking a meter reading, so to see students begin to understand so quickly gives me joy. They also continually inspire me.

My photography has been a journey and I hope it will continue to take me to wonderful places, both creatively and geographically! I began thinking it might be a career option when I was living in London, though it was just really a thought.  Edinburgh and a stint assisting newspaper photographers during the month of The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2003 was the catalyst to make thoughts actions.

Now, after working in the industry for  a few years, I am making use of time outside of corporate/commercial/client based shoots to do the stuff I want to do. Check it out…
